Dr. Saeid Rahimi
Dr. Rahimi attended Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv, Ukraine, graduating in 1998 from the Dental Faculty as a Stomatologist. He went on to complete a two-year general practice residency at the Tehran Shahed Dental University in Tehran, Iran before entering private practice. He operated his own dental practice from 2001 to 2017. He passed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada and received his licence to practice in Canada in 2017.
He believes strongly in lifelong learning, and has completed extensive continuing education in prosthodontics, endodontics, ClearCorrect aligners, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants. He’s a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and a member of the ODA, IDA, GDA, and ICOI.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Rahimi enjoys playing golf, tennis, and badminton, going fishing, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Dr. David Riediger
Dr. Dave was born and raised in Kenora. He completed his dental degree at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. After graduating, he spent a year treating children in underserved areas with the Northwestern Health Unit. He went on to set up two private practices, one in Kenora and one in Vermilion Bay. After eight years he confined himself to Kenora, where he practices today.
Dr. Dave has three grown children and three grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, skiing, curling, and playing golf. During the summer he enjoys life at his cottage at Lake of the Woods with his partner Sherrie and their golden doodle.
Alyssa was born and raised in Thunder Bay. She moved to Kenora in 2017. She attended the Dental Hygiene program at Confederation College in Thunder Bay and holds an advanced diploma. Before she entered dental hygiene, Alyssa completed the pre-health sciences program. She’s a member of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario and the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association. Alyssa loves working with children and hopes to inspire her patients to improve and maintain good dental health.
Outside the office, Alyssa enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves the summers in Kenora and enjoys kayaking, swimming, reading, and fishing.
Karen was born and raised in Kenora. She worked as a Certified Dental Assistant for two years before graduating as a Dental Hygienist in 1989. She enjoys working with her patients and helping them preserve their healthy smiles.
Karen is an active member of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Hygienists Association, and the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association.
She lives in Kenora with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys everything Kenora and Lake of the Woods has to offer, and loves spending time with friends and family, gardening, boating, and cottage life.
Sherrie, Dental Assistant
Sherrie grew up in Calgary, where she received her education as a Certified Dental Assistant. After working for several years in Calgary she moved to Kenora.
She’s a member of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association and loves caring for her patients.
Outside of work, Sherrie enjoys yoga, gardening, and travel, and looks forward to long walks with her goldendoodle. She has two grown children.
Krislyn, Dental Aide
Krislyn grew up in Kenora. She loves getting to know her patients.
She and her husband have a beautiful daughter and a rescue dog. She loves camping and travelling.
Kimi, Front Desk/Office Manager
Kimi is one of the first people you’ll meet when you visit our office. She has lived in Northern Ontario all her life. She graduated from Red Lake District High School in 1978, and has worked in the dental field for over 23 years.
She enjoys reading, taking long walks, doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She’s married with three adult children and four amazing grandkids.
Brenda, Front Desk
Brenda grew up in Ear Falls and graduated form Red Lake District High School in 1979. After attending college she moved to Toronto to work. She lived in Toronto until 1988, when she moved to Kenora.
Brenda has many of years' experience working in the medical field and assisting patients. She looks forward to helping her patients at Kenora Family Dental with their care.
She’s the mother of two children and stepmother of four, and grandmother of seven. She’s a active advocate for animal welfare and has volunteered with the Ontario Humane Society.
